ABOUT POINT.TV

Broadcast infrastructure,
rebuilt for the AI era

Point Media Tech sits at the intersection of broadcast engineering and applied AI. We build playout, MAM, live QC, and AI ad detection systems for TV networks and OTT platforms across Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region.

OUR MISSION

Help every broadcaster
operate at the speed of AI

Broadcast technology has already moved through two paradigm shifts in the last two decades — analog to digital, and SDI to IP. A third shift is underway: AI automation is reshaping playout, advertising, and monitoring at every layer of the stack.

Point Media Tech exists to drive that transition. Broadcasters should not spend engineering time on repetitive manual operations. Their creative judgment belongs on higher-leverage work, and our job is to build the systems that make that possible.

OUR STORY

Built by engineers who came
out of the master control room

Grounded in the broadcast floor

Point's founding team came from front-line broadcast engineering. We worked inside master control rooms, OB vans, and network operations centers — where we saw firsthand which workflows were eating engineer hours and which risks were hiding between the seams of the signal chain. Those observations still drive every product decision we make.

From point tools to a full product line

Point started by solving single pain points — making playout more stable, making ad insertion more accurate. As customer trust grew, we expanded into three connected product lines: playout and production, AI ad monetization, and signal monitoring and transport. Today we are one of a handful of Taiwan-based vendors covering the full broadcast workflow end to end.

AI-native for the next decade

Since the early 2020s we have integrated AI directly into the core of our products — speech-to-text subtitling, automated program scheduling, sports-moment ad insertion. The goal is not to bolt AI onto legacy systems, but to redesign broadcast workflows so that automation is the default rather than an add-on.

WHY POINT.TV

We chose the hard problems

The real barrier in broadcast technology is not writing software. It is deeply understanding signal flow, playout timing, and broadcast regulation. That domain depth is our widest moat.

Broadcast DNA

Our engineers do not just write software — they speak SDI, SMPTE, SCTE-35, and HLS fluently. Broadcast is the native language of every product we ship, not a translation layer.

AI-native architecture

AI is designed into the core of our systems from day one, not retrofitted as a plugin. Model inference and signal processing run inside the same compute framework, on the same pipeline.

A complete product ecosystem

From ingest and playout to transcoding, monitoring, and ad monetization, Point ships 17 products on a unified architecture. Integration between systems does not require a third-party system integrator — the entire signal path is visible from one control plane.

Local support, on site

Taiwan-based team, local-language support, fast on-site response. Broadcast outages never happen during office hours — our support team is built around that reality.

OUR VALUES

Three principles
we build on

01

Stability before features

Broadcast environments do not tolerate experimental software. Every Point product passes our own stress tests before it touches a customer's playout chain. We would rather ship a quarter late than ship something unreliable.

02

Simplicity is the highest craft

The best broadcast systems are the ones operators and engineers never have to think about. The complexity we pursue is the kind absorbed on the design side — never the kind pushed onto the user.

03

Customer problems are our problems

Most of our best product features trace back to a customer call at two in the morning. We take those conversations seriously, and we take it as a given that the people on site understand the real requirement better than any spec document.
